We will listen to passages from Little House Books that give us a glimpse in the Frontier Times and the life on the frontier. 

Carry water in an old water bucket - Make a corn husk doll & or a rag doll - make an old fashioned toy - Make a candle 

Play old pioneer games like Graces - Hoops - Knee Wrestling - Stick Tug - Tug -a-War - 3 Legged Race - Gunny Sack Race - 

Hands on learning about life during the frontier days. stories, hands on projects too.  Whittling - Sing a Frontier Song & Learn a dance 

Work on a Lean to shelter

Grind corn for hoe cake  ( with Cherokee corn grown here on the farm!)  

 

Activities will be on age, interest & readiness of the student, with choices throughout the class. We will do as much as we can within our  class rhythm, working with the weather and overall interests of the class. This class will be great for siblings to do together.

​We meet at the blue rooster in the waiting area. This is where we bring the class back at the end of the child's day. Please wait here, for information and announcements. ​
