What to Bring & Be Prepared For Class :
We meet in the waiting area for drop-off & pick-up
Backpack : a "regular" sized day pack - school back pack. The tot sizes are generally too small & harder for the child to manage. The opening is smaller & it's harder for them to fit items inside.
Lunch in a Container : please send lunch and snacks in a container (not in a bag: bags fly around and hard for us all to manage
Morning class bring a lunch and snacks
Afternoon Class: lunch is optional if they ate directly before class. Most kids need to eat again, and large snacks or lunch is recommended. Always bring a snack at the minimum, and more than they typically eat as they move and get hungry.
Large Filled Water Bottle : the cute small sizes are too small. It disrupts class to fill up frequently for the class
Bring a quart size mason jar with lid and a spork with names on each piece
Close Toed Shoes or Sandals
Spring and Fall Gear: Be prepared for rain : Rain jacket or full step in gear. Rain boots or water resistant shoes.
Winter Gear :
Snow Clothes head to toe: clothes made for the snow
Beanie, stocking cap ( a jacket hood is extra a hat is still needed)
Snow pants or full step in winter over clothes
Layers on top and bottom
Snow Gloves (no cotton gloves unless its for inside snow gloves)
Wool or very warm socks (wool works best as they stay warm even if they get wet)
Snow Boots : no rain boots until spring : rain boots are very cold in the winter
Warm Jacket that zips
Practice with your child to manage clothing, putting on gloves and jacket, practice zipping, putting on hat with gloves on. Going to the bathroom and managing the snow clothes.
Warm drinks, even warm water is helpful and warm food in a thermal container is helpful.
