This class is based in the Victorian - Edwardian Era American Girls Samantha Books

​

Learn to embroider & embroider a simple project of the time

Make hair ribbons & paper dolls 

Learn about & prepare for a  traditional Victorian era tea party (with a child friendly herbal tea like chamomile), sandwiches & baking party foods around Valentines Day

Learning the etiquette of a tea party 

​Make Victorian times style hat or flower band  to wear at the tea party & take home

We will learn about history in America & the world at this time by learning & doing activities of the era like:

Learn Victorian dances & songs 

Artist study: like Monet & Edgar Degas:  their style of the time & trying out their style 

Poetry

Social Traditions, Customs & Etiquette

Composer study & classical music of this era 

Children's games & pastimes, clothing & expectations with different social classes

​

Listen to the Samantha American Girl books while working on embroidery, paper doll coloring, & art projects​​​​​​​​
